Early success for China Print Supplies

Since its public debut at the Print Show last year, China Print Supplies has enjoyed a fruitful six months.

The first printers have been installed at five companies across the UK, and following another appearance at Sign & Digital UK in February, China Print Supplies plans to deliver more machines over the coming months.

Scott Clutton, managing director of China Print Supplies, said, “We have seen at both industry shows that there are lots of sign and print companies looking for high quality, reliable printers, but don’t feel they have to pay the Earth for it. We have used our long experience working in this industry to identify, test and import printing equipment from the rapidly evolving Chinese market. And for those companies prepared to look beyond the badge, they are getting a great solution for their money.”

He adds, “The SinoColor products we have selected offer fantastic value, and they are at the quality end of the market. I have worked with many UV printers, and these print better quality than any I have seen thanks to the small dot, high-resolution printheads. Our Chinese supplier is obsessed with print quality, and every time I produce samples, I am still amazed at how good they are.”

It’s quite a statement, but every printer we have brought over so far outperforms any other printer I have worked with over the last 13 years. The multi-head and staggered head layouts are what deliver better quality at higher speeds,” he adds.

“We bridge the gap between China and the UK and supply printers that are pound for pound much better than the established brands. These printers are also hugely scalable, so customers can start off with a high-quality printer at a much lower cost than the competition for a comparable speed. They can then add more heads, still be cheaper, but end up with more production. Adding heads, not printers, for more production will save companies tens of thousands of pounds.”

The SinoColor printers are fully customisable, allowing customers to choose the ink configurations they want and not be forced to have varnish or primer at the expense of more colours.  They also have additional colours and specialist ink sets if required.

“Our background is in engineering and support, so we can deliver these amazing products while still providing fantastic support. We offer a full gold UK warranty, full service, and support and sell to customers in the UK just like any other major brand,” explains Scott.

China Print Supplies made its debut at the Print Show last year and secured several deals. They also exhibited at Sign & Digital UK and have booked to return to The Print Show later this year. “It is very important to get our products in front of people so they can see the quality for themselves and see what we see in the products,” adds Scott.

The results have been impressive so far. “As a direct result of being at The Print Show, we have sold six printers and installed three units. We also have several ongoing leads from Sign & Digital UK, which we look forward to installing when they are ready for their new equipment.”

He continues, “We are planning a bigger presence at the next Print Show—a bigger stand with more equipment than last year. We’ll be showing our compact flatbed and our 8’ x 4’ UV Flatbed, which went down a storm at Sign & Digital UK, plus new products, which we will be announcing shortly.”

China Print Supplies‘s success so far demonstrates the growing acceptance of Chinese printing technology in the UK market. “By offering competitive pricing, robust warranties, and comprehensive support, we are helping new customers transition to high-quality, great-value printing equipment. Thanks to the fantastic trade shows in our industry, customers don’t have to take our word for it – they can see these products for themselves,” concludes Scott.
