Mimaki Australia’s Open Days Bring Printing Innovation Closer to Customers

Mimaki’s series of Open Days in Australia kicked off in Melbourne on 14 August, followed by a successful event in Sydney on 15 August. The final stop on this local tour is taking place on 20 August in Brisbane.

We caught up with Kohei Kobayashi, Managing Director of Mimaki Australia, to learn more about the aim of the Open Days.

“We recently participated in Visual Impact in Brisbane. The event showcased our latest printing technology, including the UCJV330, Kebab HS, JFX600-2531, CFX series, and TRAPIS. With over 2,500 visitors, the exhibition was a resounding success for us,” explains Kohei.

Following Visual Impact, Mimaki wanted to continue reaching a broad audience across Australia.

“We wanted to reach our target customers with a more localised approach to share our innovations. Unlike the large-scale exhibition, we organised more intimate and tailored open days,” he shares.

Mimaki has organised a series of open days at its branches in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Each day, 7-10 companies are invited to attend, providing a unique opportunity for visitors to evaluate the latest technology using their own materials and print data—an experience that wasn’t feasible during the larger exhibition.

“These open days offer a hands-on experience, allowing attendees to see firsthand how Mimaki’s latest innovations can be integrated into their own businesses. Whether it’s exploring the versatility of the UCJV330 or testing the high-speed capabilities of the Kebab HS, these events provide an invaluable opportunity for companies to engage with the technology in a meaningful way,” says Kohei.

Mimaki’s commitment to bringing its cutting-edge technology closer to its customers is evident in these localised events. “By offering a more personalised experience, Mimaki is ensuring that businesses across Australia have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in printing technology, no matter where they are located,” adds Kohei.

If you couldn’t make it to Visual Impact, these open days are an excellent chance to catch up on what’s new at Mimaki. The company’s innovative spirit continues to drive the industry forward, and these events are just one example of how Mimaki is making sure that no one is left behind in the ever-evolving world of printing technology.
