Summa introduces V series cutters

Summa expand their portfolio into the packaging industry with four new cutters that work for small copy shops, sign makers, and design studios

Summa, maker of digital cutting solutions, introduces the V Series –  a new line up of four flatbed cutters designed for the packaging industry – the Invicta, the Optima, the Integra, and the Omnia. These digital cutters are equipped with Summa’s intuitive GoProduce software, are capable of high-quality kiss- and V-cutting, and allow for quick and easy tool swaps.

The V Series offers four specialised models, each designed for distinct applications in packaging. The Invicta is a single-head flatbed cutter, ideal for prototyping and short production runs, while the Optima offers the same capabilities with a double-head design for increased efficiency. The Integra is designed for board and sign as well as packaging featuring an integrated router. Finally, the Omnia delivers workflow integration in automation and short production runs.

“The V series are powerful cutters designed for packaging. Engineered to handle materials from corrugated board to folding carton, they deliver the utmost precision—from a single prototype to low-volume production runs.” says Stijn Henderickx, CEO of Summa,” We’re proud to expand our portfolio into the packaging industry and bring our expertise in precision cutting to this dynamic sector.”

These digital cutters support sheet-based workflows and can process a wide range of materials, such as folding carton, corrugated cardboard, vinyl, PVC, foam board, leather, fabrics, greyboard, and paper.

The V Series offers results across different applications with over 15 specialized tools for cutting and creasing, and the Integra model includes a router. The entire series can process materials up to 20 mm thick. Tool compatibility across all models enhances efficiency and workflow integration.

The V Series is an excellent choice for small copy shops, sign makers, and design studios. Key applications include: packaging, motor decals, all types of signage and displays, and patterns.

“The V Series stands out with its seamless tool compatibility and high-precision, making it the perfect solution for the packaging, sign making, and apparel industries. Designed for efficiency, it features quick tool swaps and user-friendly one-click workflows. The V Series delivers high-quality cutting and versatility with top-notch Italian engineering and a 5-year warranty.” concludes Luca Bartalini, product manager.
